Perfecting the Aesthetic Element in CAD/CAM Restorations
Date: 11 September 2024
Time: 9.00am – 5.30pm
Venue: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Synopsis:
With the prevalence of zirconia restorations in everyday practice, there is an even greater need to understand the applications and aesthetic potential of these biocompatible ceramic materials. Though monolithic zirconia materials are popular in the posterior zone, they often lack the aesthetic element required for anterior restorations. Staining and layering with porcelain help to elevate the aesthetic quality of zirconia restorations, imparting life-like brilliance and replicating the shade nuances of natural teeth in the visible zone.
The workshop provides a deep dive into everyday techniques for mastering aesthetic outcomes in CAD/CAM zirconia restorations. Participants will be able to understand how to mimic natural tooth shades, translucency and opalescence by understanding the art and science of ceramic layering and staining. Tips and tricks shared during the guided hands-on session will enable dental technicians to perfect their digital restorations and differentiate the quality of prosthesis they offer to discerning clinicians and patients alike.
