Overview:

Lithium disilicate is considered to be one of the most aesthetic materials for smile makeovers. Needle-like (acicular) densely packed crystals  impart optimal strength and durability to the lithium disilicate crown, inlays, onlays.

Fabricated either as a fully contoured prosthesis individualized with stains or through veneering of the lithium disilicate frame with low fusing ceramic material, lithium disilicate restorations enable you to achieve and often exceed the aesthetic expectations of the patient.

Let us delve into the lithium disilicate fabrication process and understand the key factors that influence the outcome from tooth preparation to pressing, ceramic layering, staining and finally, predictable cementation. This session will provide an insight to the aesthetic potentialities and clinical viability of Vintage LD lithium disilicate system and how it can be seamlessly integrated into the daily workflow of dental clinics and laboratories.

• Cut-back layering technique with Vintage LD Porcelain on an anterior crown restoration.
• Life-like staining of anterior veneers.
• Step by step guide to 2D/3D staining with Vintage Art Universal Stains.

Instructor Profile:

Mr. Jovi is a Certified Dental Technician who graduated from the Miyazaki Dental Technician’s School. He specialized as a dental ceramist at the Waseda Institute of Dental Technology in Japan. Jovi has been with SHOFU Dental Asia-Pacific for more than 30 years and has travelled extensively throughout the Asia-Pacific region conducting courses and workshops in the field of dental technology. He has been contributing articles regularly to regional dental publications on how to efficiently achieve excellent aesthetics with various indirect materials. Jovi is a member of the Japan Dental Technician’s Association and the Malaysian Dental Technologists Association. Jovi has recently taken on the esteemed role of Key Opinion Leader for SHOFU Dental within Asia-Pacific region and continue to bring his expertise to contribute in dental industry.
